Lorena Benford is a senior analyst at the National Institute for Public Policy. She currently provides support at the Missile Defense Agency, working in international affairs.
Ms. Benford previously worked as a Research Assistant at NIPP from 2010-2012, coordinating the Nuclear Strategy Forum meetings, performing research on nuclear related matters, and assisting with events. Following that, she was an Assistant Research Fellow at National Defense University’s Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction. There she worked on strategic and policy issues related to foreign consequence management, interdiction, and elimination. Ms. Benford began her career at a defense company assembling database information, managing sales, and conducting research.
Ms. Benford completed her Masters of Science degree with honors in Defense and Strategic Studies from Missouri State University. She is also a graduate of the honors program at the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics.
